2.4 EXSAS Data Areas

 

Within the EXSAS directory structure two main data areas are defined:

1. The calibration area contains all the data sets that are used internally (transparent to the user) by different application programs. Also older calibrations files reside here and can be referred to by the user. A list of contents is contained in appendix F.    
2. The test data area contains data from the early Calibration and Verification Phase of ROSAT. These files are used in many of the examples in this guide. For the user they can serve for comparative studies. These data must not be used for scientific purposes. A list of contents is contained in appendix F.
